About Us
Meet Sheila
Sheila Pritchett Murray is the Owner of Savvy Peacock Stagers. Sheila is a wife, mother of 3 adults, MeMa to grandson Jon and her new baby granddaughter, Olivia Jade. She is a sister, aunt, friend, neighbor, and colleague. She loves all things related to design including home staging and styling homes for clients and friends. As a lover of beautiful environments, this former HS teacher of Interior Design taught in Durham and Wake counties and is also a competitive swimmer who loves planting flowers.
Sheila started out her design career in south Florida, working as a Design Assistant in the exclusive showroom Jerry Pair, at the DCOTA (Design Center of the Americas). After relocating to NC from Boca Raton with a B.A. degree from Lynn University, Sheila earned her NC teacher’s license and ultimately her Master’s (MSA) from East Carolina University. After leaving the teaching profession with 18 years, she became a realtor. After experiencing a major “A-Ha” moment, and encouragement from her husband Michael, Sheila decided to pursue her ultimate dream of entrepreneurship and started Savvy Peacock Stagers.
Home staging is Sheila's passion with the adopted mantra: “I am going to make everything around me beautiful – that will be my life.”

What does a home stager do?
A Home Stager is a trained, certified professional that prepares a house and property to be listed, photo & market ready. Staging is meant to accentuate the property's architectural charm, allowing buyers to notice the attributes and aesthetics of the house. It's meant to allow the buyers to visualize themselves in the home, as theirs. Staging pros will suggest items and spaces for decluttering and relocate furniture to maximize square footage and optimum layouts. Home Staging is creative marketing designed to appeal to prospective buyers, to showcase the property

A professionally trained, certified Home Stager, like Savvy Peacock Stagers can objectively stage the property to appeal to the majority of buyers. While prized collections and displays of personal family photos are dearly meaningful, they have no place in a house listed on the market. We provide a consultation at $225. for 2 hours of detailed information. This will be happily credited to the cost of

What was the motivation to name the business Savvy Peacock Stagers?
Starting with the first letters of my maiden name, Sheila Pritchett, the word Savvy denotes sharp, artful, clever, astute, keen, and on-the-ball! I paired it with the word Peacock, which is a fabulous most beautiful bird. The Peacock is the epitome of beauty, nature’s walking canvas of natural color with grace, honor, and self-confidence that “shows off," yet has refinement.
